Home Based Support Services Coordination
Home Based Support Services (HBSS) is a program option for adults and children with a developmental disability
within the Medicaid Waiver or the Children's Support Waiver programs.
HBSS includes
any individually designed services that assist individuals to live in a private
home.
HBSS is tailored to meet individuals' evolving needs and preferences for supports,
without them having to leave their homes. Individuals and their guardians may choose
the particular array of services that best meets the persons' needs. HBSS Coordination
ensures that all services are for the direct care of the individual and are directly related to their disability.
